BORN TO DISCOVER!

Tell us something about yourself.
I am a psychologist academically not practising currently though. I am also an options trader in the share market and yes an actor surely as you all can see. I have been raised in a middleclass family consisting of my mother, father and my sister, I have done all my education till my master’s from Jaipur itself then a diploma in guidance and counselling from Ajmer. I am a cheerful happy go lucky girl. I am fond of food, I enjoy cooking too. I love to travel and am Up for it anytime. My heart goes for exploring new things, be it people, places, food, culture anything. Very open to life and its experiences.

What are your future plans?
I am now at a stage in my life where I don’t want to plan anything intentionally. I am doing my work sincerely and grabbing the opportunities coming my way, rest Leaving it all to god and witnessing where life takes.

How did your journey begin?
So I was asked by someone to Audition for a lead role in a theatrical play, I was always interested in art and use to be a dancer till I did my degree, was active on stage in school too, which inclined my interest towards that audition. I cleared it and started doing theatre thereafter. And then by giving several auditions started my journey in cinema from theatre.

What were some of the battles you fought and are still fighting in your journey?
The first battle I faced and sometimes still face is within me. It took me a long time to accept that I can pursue acting professionally, usually, it remains a hobby for many, keeping in mind the uncertainty it holds as a career. People are mostly afraid of taking it seriously. So that was one basic battle but the most important one I would say. Second, there is not much to feed yourself financially unless you are very successful. The money offered is too less for someone to pick it as the only career option. Thirdly being a girl and coming from a middle-class family it takes time for people to understand what you are doing.. unless you prove yourself you have to go through all the judgments and pinpoints. Everybody is more interested in things like a marriage than your career, and accepting acting is a far cry. But I m glad and truly happy with the response I am getting now.

Talk to us about your achievements?
I was always academically good and was pursuing a psychologist earlier. I was an Ncc cadet, I even marched at Rajpath in the Republic Day parade. As an actor, I have been doing theatre for the past 4 years and this is my first feature film which is releasing in Rajasthan named “Love You Mhari Jaan.” Followed by another feature film which I did in Chattisgarh named Radheshyam. Have done character roles in the web series fallen and a Bollywood feature film Munna Munni ki shadi which will be released soon too.
