Piplod: A Christian village celebrating diversity and harmony
Baran: Piplod, the only Christian-dominated village in the Hadauti region, known for its open and harmonious way of life. The residents, blending traditional Indian culture with Christian practices, are often seen embracing a local lifestyle. Bible hymns and prayers are conducted not only in English but also in Hindi and Hadauti, reflecting the village’s inclusive spirit.
Piplod stands as a symbol of harmony, where Hindu and Christian families coexist peacefully and actively participate in each other’s festivals. Visitors frequently come to experience the unique cultural amalgamation of the village. The history of Piplod is equally fascinating. Christmas celebrations here began in 1904 under a tree, and by 1931, the “Jungle-Mangal Mandali CNI Church” was built as a spiritual hub for the community. Today, people from different states visit Piplod to celebrate Christmas, drawn by its message of peace, love, and shared cultural heritage.
