3 more succumb in last 24 hours, toll rises to 18
Jaipur: In the LPG tanker blast in Jaipur, three more people, including a young woman who had suffered severe burns, died on Wednesday at the Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital. With this, the death toll has reached 18 over the past four days, including a former IAS officer. The accident occurred on the Jaipur-Ajmer Highway around 5:45 AM on December 20.
On Wednesday morning, at around 4 AM, Vijeta (22) from Pratapgarh (Rajasthan) and at around 9:30 AM, Vijendra (36) from Bhuribadaj, Paota (Jaipur) succumbed to their injuries. Later, around 1 PM, Banshilal (35) also passed away. Vijeta and Vijendra had sustained 70% burns each. Currently, 15 seriously burned patients are being treated at the burn ward of SMS Hospital.
