250 teams of med dept inspect 500 hosps & medical institutes

Jaipur: A comprehensive inspection and awareness campaign was conducted by the Medical Department to strengthen health services across the state. Conducted under the direction of Additional Chief Secretary, Shubhra Singh, about 250 teams of officers of the Medical Department simultaneously inspected about 500 medical institutions and Anganwadi centres across the state.

During the inspection, the teams saw the condition of the building of the medical institute, cleanliness, prenatal health check-up of pregnant women, etc.

An action plan to improve the facilities will be prepared. During the inspection, the preparedness of medical institutions to deal with seasonal diseases and heat wave and heat stroke was also reviewed.

Singh inspected the Sub District Hospital at Chaksu in Jaipur. She said that the QR code system should be implemented to improve cleanliness. Singh also checked the attendance register and duty roster register.

Shubhra Singh has determined 39 indices in 27 promising blocks selected by the Central government. Of these 39 indices, seven are related to health.
