The trailer of Vikram sets the bar of the film high

Kamal Hassan is gracing the big screens again and this time, with a lot of anger and guns. ‘Vikram’ starring Hassan alongside Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil, is directed by Lokesh Kanagraj. famous for his 2021 banger, Master. The Hindi trailer of the film dropped today and it is everything that fans anticipated. Right from gripping background music to some aesthetic visuals, the trailer does justice to the three South biggies that star in the film.

The trailer starts with the voiceover of Kamal Hassan who delivers the monologue in a raspy, rowdy and nerve-racking voice. “Agar Jungle ho, toh sher, tendua aur cheetah, shikar pe nikalte hai (If there is a jungle, tigers, hyenas and cheetahs will go for a hunt)”, his voice begins as visuals in the dark hues appear on the screen. It is evident that the movie will be dark and brim with violence only through the first four frames. The dark and dim hue of the scenes, the mellow yet chilling background music and the raspy voice of Kamal Hassan set the tone of the entire trailer.

National award-winning cinematographer Girish Gangadharan, known for his work on the 2019 Oscar entry ‘Jallikattu’, is working on this film as well. Anirudh Ravichander who became an overnight sensation with his debut song ‘Why This Kolaveri Di’, is the music composer for the film. He has done a commendable job on the background score as the music pulls the audience in with its adrenaline-filled beats.

The trailer has increased the expectations of fans as it brings together three powerhouses of the South film industry. However, the fast-paced montage of the trailer does not offer the viewers a glance at what they are in for. The trailer grips the audience solely on the visuals, guns, action and of course the superstars themselves. To know what story revolves around the loves of the three main characters is something that fans would surely love to see.
