LET’S ‘NAATU NAATU’

The Oscars, the greatest and most prestigious awards show in the world, presented prizes in 24 categories, including best film, best actress, original screenplay, cinematography, production design, costume design, makeup and hairstyling, and others. In the same episode, India celebrated two big wins at the Oscars marking the historic win of 'RRR' and 'The Elephant Whisperers', which has been etched in golden letters in the history of Indian cinema. The iconic dance song from SS Rajamouli's big-budget film "RRR," "Naatu Naatu," won Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards, beating heavyweights like Lady Gaga and Rihanna, giving India a significant representation at the Oscars.

India and 'Everything Everywhere All At Once' both shone at the 95th Academy Awards, where 'Best Original Song' went to RRR's Naatu Naatu, and 'Best Documentary Short film category' went to The Elephant Whisperers. The documentary, which tells the story of a couple who care for an injured baby elephant after it gets separated from its herd, is the first Indian production to win in this category. However, India's big win remained Naatu Naatu (a Telugu word which means raw or rustic), a thumping song that has got people around the world grooving to its beats.

In January, the single made history by winning a Golden Globe for best original music, a first for India. It also received the Critics' Choice award for best single the same month. Not only this, Indian diva, Deepika Padukone attended as a presenter and looked stunning in black Louis Vuitton and . She introduced the live performance of Naatu Naatu, which featured Lauren Gottlieb dancing and singing alongside Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava. After Persis Khambatta and Priyanka Chopra, Deepika is the third Indian to present at the Oscars and captivated viewers with her appearance. She graced the red carpet of the 95th Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles wearing a custom Louis Vuitton black gown with a dramatic Cartier neckpiece. The diva was dressed in an off-the-shoulder black Louis Vuitton gown, styled with old Hollywood glam, a sleek hairdo and statement-making diamond jewels. The queen also showed off her new tattoo -82 degree E (inspired by her beauty brand) on the neck, she styled her gown with the stunning jewels.
