SEHGAL FLAGS OFF DRIVE WITH ABILITY CAMPAIGN TO MOTIVATE DIVYANGJANS

Lucknow: ACS (Information and MSME) Navneet Sehgal on Sunday flagged off a group of five divyangjan (Specially abled wheel chair users), who went for an excursion of Laddakh with an aim, enthusiasm and courage to change society’s perception about disability. The 16-day campaign was flagged from La Martinere School.

The expedition, a never seen before the journey, saw a huge turnout gathered to see off the Expedition Team. This excursion to Ladakh is self-Driven by Wheelchair Users/ Divyangjans themselves. The Cars driven by the Wheelchair Users/Divyangjans are modified for use by Disabled Users (Lower Body Paralysed).

On this occassion ACS Navneet Sehgal said, “Drive With Ability is the campaign started with a vision to exhibit in front of the world that Divyangjan can achieve the same feat as their abled counterparts. It will only help the team going but many like them gain confidence to achieve anything they strive for despite their difficulties.”

The expedition team consists of Sqn Ldr Abhai Pratap Singh (Retd), President of Wheelchair Cricket India Association, Vijay Singh Bisht, Former Cricketer, Indian Wheelchair Cricket Team, Sunil Mangal, Disability Activist from Kanpur, Veer Singh Sandhu and many others.
