WRD team surveys Hathini Kund Barrage in Haryana

Jaipur: To provide Yamuna water to Shekhawati region, the Bhajanlal government in Rajasthan is now working rapidly on the ground. After surveying the Shekhawati region, a team of Water Resources Department today surveyed Hathini Kund Barrage located in Tajewala, Haryana.

Rajasthan WRD team discussed the technical aspects with Haryana team and decided location for building intake so that water could be lifted and sent towards Rajasthan.

A joint DPR will be prepared within four months. The report of survey conducted today will be included in the DPR. Four underground drinking water lines will be taken out from the barrage. Shekhawati will be irrigated through three lines while one line will provide drinking water to the border areas of Haryana-Rajasthan. Drinking water will be arranged for Dadri, Bhiwani and Hisar in Haryana.
