Mumbai (Maharashtra): Veteran actor Nana Patekar is making a comeback in the entertainment industry after being absent for the past two years. The actor who has entertained viewers with his excellent performances from across different languages will star in Prakash Jha’s next web series, ‘Laal Batti’. There had been prior reports that Nana will make his comeback with the social thriller ‘The Confession’. But according to ETimes, the actor himself has confirmed this new development.
ETimes reported, that the Natsamrat actor replied with a short and crisp “I am doing it” reply, meanwhile, Prakash Jha was unavailable for comment. Alike all his previous films, Prakash will explore the dark sides of politics with Laal Batti and Nana Patekar will play the role of a politician.
Nana had worked with Prakash Jha previously in Rajneeti in 2010. The political thriller had an ensemble cast of Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Arjun Rampal, Ajay Devgn, Manoj Bajpayee, Naseeruddin Shah, Nana Patekar and more.
The actor’s last major release was the Tamil film ‘Kaala’ opposite Rajnikanth where he portrayed the role of the main villain.
