Pokhran: Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot paid homage at the revered Runicha Dham Ramdevra, dedicated to the local deity Baba Ramdev. Upon arrival, he offered prayers and sought blessings for peace, prosperity, and harmony in both the nation and the state. As part of the ritual, Gehlot presented offerings of Mishri Patasha and coconut at the shrine of Baba Ramdev.
He was guided through a special ceremony by the temple’s chief priest. He spent approximately 30 minutes at the temple, praying and engaging with Baba Ramdev’s descendants, who shared insights into the deity’s life and significance. Gehlot also visited the nearby Dali Bai temple to seek additional blessings. The temple committee honored the Governor with a traditional welcome, presenting him with a portrait and memento of Baba Ramdev. Gehlot was warmly received by BJP workers and local dignitaries, who greeted him in authentic Rajasthani style.
The visit was accompanied by tight security, coordinated by Ramdevra Sarpanch Samandar Singh Tanwar and senior police officials. Following his visit to Ramdevra, the Governor continued his journey to Jaisalmer, known as the Golden City.
