Sanjivani Scam: Raj HC to now hear matter on Oct 30

Jodhpur: Rajasthan HC on Wednesday conducted hearing in the case of Sanjivani credit cooperative society scam.
Union Minister GS Shekhawat had filed an application to stay on presenting challan against him. During the hearing, additional advocate general Anil Joshi sought time to respond to the application following which the court posted the matter for next hearing on October 30.

The court has already granted Shekhawat protection from arrest in case. It is alleged that lakhs of investors were duped by society by promising high returns on their investment. The SOG has recently served notice to Shekhawat, indicating the first step toward presenting a formal challan against him, clarifying his role in matter. Govt has appointed prominent lawyer Harin Raval to represent in Jodhpur HC.
