RISE UP IN GLORY!

How has your journey as an actor been so far, from Kutumb to music videos like Galti & Koi Khata?
Initially, it was very difficult and still, it is, getting good roles which suit you is not easy at all. Because there is a common belief that in order to reach the top in any acting industry, an actor should have a godfather in the industry and there have been several instances that prove the same. But my mother taught me to achieve my goals with hard work and talent and I am trying to give my best to fulfil my dreams with my talent and hard work.

You received immense popularity from your role Gaayu in ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata hain’. Do we get to see you working for such more roles?
I am extremely grateful to be part of such a great show, ‘Gaayu’ is indeed close to my heart, besides ‘Yeh Rishta’, my fans also know me for my role ‘Avni’ from ‘Aur Pyaar Ho Gya’. But currently, I preparing myself for films!

Do you prefer to act in live theatre or films and reality television shows?
I got few calls for reality shows but I had to decline the offers as I am preparing myself for films, right now I want to focus on one thing as I believe most people dabble their way through life, never deciding to master anything in particular.

What techniques do you use to make your character development more believable?
Acting is behaving truthfully under imaginary circumstances. It comes from within. For me, it comes naturally, just a little bit of knowledge about the character to give my role a multidimensional and emotional touch.
