LITTLE MASTERCHEF

What influenced you to get started?
My Mumma tells me that I have been very fond of playing with utensils, and being in the kitchen since I was less than a year old. So probably this is coming from my childhood. I enjoy watching cooking videos especially miniature cooking. Miniature cooking fascinated me so much that I badly wanted to do all that on my own and now my Mumma allows me to do actual cooking as well. I am so happy!

What do you like to cook?
Though I enjoy cooking everything that I can, I specifically love cooking when I have to fry something. I enjoy the process of adding something to hot oil and watching how it gets cooked. My all-time favourite is making pakora sand Jalebis.

Do you want to become a chef when you grow up?
Absolutely yes! Cooking is my hobby and I just enjoy learning something new every day. There are millions of dishes around the world and I want to deep dive into this sea and explore dishes from around the world.

How did Sabhya get started with cooking?
Kitchen utensils were a few of the first toys he started playing with when he was as young as 8-9 months old. He was so fond of the pressure cooker whistle that he used to whistle exactly like a pressure cooker and sometimes I even got confused as if I left something on the stove.

What influenced him?
Sabhya used to enjoy watching me cook and gradually started helping me in cooking. He used to enjoy it every time and whenever he used to ask me to take over, I never stopped him. He got a chance to try his hands at baking during the lockdown and since then he is unstoppable.

How do you encourage him?
I have encouraged him in whatever he is doing. Cooking is his hobby and I have encouraged him to always try his hands at everything. I make him participate in cooking competitions, shows and events so that he becomes more and more confident and polishes his interest.
