JAIPUR: Bringing laurels to Rajasthan, Khwaish Sharma, from Fatehpur in Sikar district claimed 4 gold medals in 6th West Bengal Open Air Weapon Shooting Championship that concluded in Howrah on Sunday.

She topped the ranking with first position (Individual) and getting 4 gold medals in 10 M Air Rifle Sub Youth Women, 10 M Air Rifle Youth Women, 10 M Air Rifle Junior Women, 10 M Air Rifle Senior Women and 2 silver medals (Team) in 10 M Air Rifle Youth Women Team Category, 10 M Air Rifle Senior Women Team Category.

An elated Khwaish while sharing her shooting experience said, “I would thank my JKSA academy for providing m e prober equipment , facility for shoot- ers despited the pandemic scare.

I am grateful to The Newtown School for standing by me and giving me the platform to perform. Also, I feel proud of my grandparents and parents for supporting me at every step."
