GUNEHGAAR EXPOSED!

Sumeet Vyas was born in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. His father was a screenplay writer in Bollywood. Before joining acting, he started editing at the age of 17. Recently he has worked with Gajraj Rao and Shweta Basu Prasad for Zee Theatre’s upcoming teleplay ‘Gunehgaar’, directed by Akarsh Khurana. When asked about his latest project Gunehgaar, he said “Gunehgaar is a suspenseful drama about crime and retribution revolves around the life of three key personalities, a journalist, a cop, and a common man. This drama showcases storytelling at its finest and draws from the best suspense novel traditions . Akarsh has brought a Hitchcockian tenor to this story penned by Abhijit Guru and there is so much dramatic tension in the way the characters explore the true meaning of crime, guilt, and accountability. Gunehgaar is a skilled performer. When asked about his character he said, “My character is very challenging , what excited me is the treatment given to the whole set and the shoot. Initially, I wasn’t sure about this since I was working for the first time in a teleplay. But as we wrapped the play, I enjoyed the whole process. The audiences will get a good mix of Theatre as well as the essence of the camera. The play will certainly engage the viewers.” While describing his creative process he shared “I find joy by creating a different character, my creative process is very simple, I am a good observer and I observe a lot, I observe people, situations and I try to incorporate them in myself” concluded Sumeet Vyas.
