AMAGARH LEOPARD SAFARI A HIT!

After Jhalana, the craze of Amagarh Leopard Safari is increasing rapidly among tourists. As Jaipur is moving towards the ‘Leopard Capital of the World’, urban wildlife tourism in Jaipur has presented a vision of wildlife conservation and environmental improvement that will inspire other states of the country in the coming times.

Amagarh, inaugurated on 22 May, has attracted 270 tourists in the first 15 days of the start of Leopard Safari visited in 45 vehicles. During this period 1374 tourists arrived in Jhalana by 229 vehicles.

Now, work is being done at a rapid pace to realize the increased leopard numbers in Jaipur and the larger Leopard Corridor from Jhalana via Amagarh, Nahargarh, Jamwa Ramgarh, Achrol, Raisar to Sariska.

The heritage of Jaipur i.e. Amer, Nahargarh, Jaigarh, Jalmahal, Galta ji along with Leopard, Hyena and wildlife are visible from Amagarh PCCF Dr DN Pandey said the forests of Jhalana, Amagarh and Nahargarh have an important contribution in controlling carbon emissions in the state capital Jaipur and also in maintaining purity of the air and preventing the groundwater level from falling.
