VASUDEV DEVNANI TO BE UNANIMOUSLY ELECTED AS 17th SPEAKER OF RAJASTHAN ASSEMBLY TODAY

Jaipur: Five times MLA Vasudev Devnani, who is considered a RSS loyalist in state politics in state politics, will take charge as the Speaker of the 16th Assembly today. He will be the 17th Speaker of the Assembly.

BJP had made Devnani its candidate while other parties including Congress also supported him on Wednesday.

Devnani filed five nomination papers on Wednesday for the post. In the first nomination, the proposal of CM Bhajan Lal Sharma was approved by Sachin Pilot while in the second, proposal of Ashok Gehlot was approved by Dotasra. In third nomination paper Vasundhara Raje’s proposal was approved by Rajkumar Roat. In fourth nomination, proposal of Diya Kumari was approved by Chandrabhan Chauhan while in fifth nomination RLP MLA Hanuman Beniwal’s proposal was approved by RLD MLA Dr. Subhash Garg.

The formal announcement of Speaker’s unopposed election will be made at 3.15 pm today.
Devnani joined the RSS at a very young age and later he became ABVP’s state chief for 9 years. He was Education Minister in every government of Raje and worked for radical changes in this department.
