Lab technician caught stealing plasma

Jaipur: After fake NOC for organ transplant, another ‘Game’ of plasma theft has come to light in JK Lone hospital of Jaipur where a lab technician has been caught stealing plasma and selling it to private centers.

Employees working in the blood bank of the hospital caught the lab technician, Krishnakant Kataria, red handed. The hospital superintendent Dr Kailash Meena reached the hospital on information. He said that Kataria has been arrested.

Investigation revealed that Kataria used to secretly take plasma from the blood bank. He has confessed this during interrogation. The hospital administration has recovered 76 bags of plasma from his car.

A high level committee led by senior professor Dr. Rambabu Sharma has been constituted to inquire into the matter.
