Trains full, airfares skyrocket ahead of Diwali festivities

Jaipur: The upcoming festive season of Diwali has brought a huge struggle for passengers going to their homes. On one hand, airfares are sky-high, while on the other there are no seats available on trains. Trains run full from Jaipur to most cities. Heavy rush is being observed while booking tickets for trains to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal routes.

Alongside, there is a long waiting before Diwali for trains for Mumbai and Jammu Tawi too. In most trains, it has become impossible to book a seat. The trains which have ticket bookings open come with waiting up to 350.

Similar is the situation for trains running between Jaipur and Lucknow. Seats are not available on Marudhar Express on October 21, 25, 28, and 30. ‘Regret’ is also seen in the sleeper class of Train 19269 at Porbandar-Muzaffarpur on 21 October.
