Tourism Department joins hands with bloggers to boost the reach of the Pushkar Fair
Jaipur: Pushkar International festival is in full swing and visitors from across the world are attending the most anticipated event after a gap of two years due to pandemic.
Started on November 1, The Pushkar fair would continue till November 8. The Tourism Department has been engaging the bloggers in past few years to promote the already popular Pushkar Fair, and this year as well, popular bloggers across the country having millions of followers on social media handles like Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and other platforms would be a part of the event.
To name a few of them who would be attending the event are Shivaditya Barjatya, Siddhart Joshi, and Marcy Baur. These bloggers not only have millions of people who idealize them but also closely watch their travel content and schedule their travel destinations accordingly. Their fair and unbiased content has grabbed eyeballs over the years and helped them create a name for themselves in the travel bloggers' world.
These bloggers with huge number of followers are pitching in with Tourism Department for the ongoing Pushkar Fair. They would be staying in Pushkar and having a first-hand experience of the fair and creating blogs on their social media to reach out to their fans and those who haven’t managed to attend the fair this year.
Talking about the Department’s initiative, Dr. Rashmi Sharma, Director of Tourism said, “Pitching in the bloggers for the event will boost the reach and would raise the popularity of the Pushkar Fair nationally as well as globally, and would touch more hearts. Bloggers are going to create many posts, a few reels and a travel vlog on YouTube. We are anticipating highly engaging content with human interest stories that would help people connect with the raw and rustic feel of Pushkar Fair.”
She added, the reason why the bloggers were brought into the role was the growing craze of social media and how people idealize and follow bloggers. While Pushkar Fair has been happening for decades and a huge crowd turns up for the same but in recent times people especially youngsters watch and feel everything online, so catering to their needs and understanding the requirements of the new generation, bloggers have been pitched in.
