State Cong leaders pay tribute to Indira Gandhi

Jaipur: Former Prime Minister Late Indira Gandhi’s birth anniversary was celebrated on Saturday at the State Congress Headquarters.

On the occasion of Indira Gandhi’s birth anniversary, PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasra said that everyone has offered flowers on Indira Gandhi’s portrait on her birth anniversary.

“Indira Gandhi was hailed as the Iron Lady. She worked for the unity of the country since childhood and laid down his life for its integrity. She played an important role in keeping the country united. It is a matter of pride for the Congress party that we had such a leader who took this country on the path of development. Pakistan was divided into two pieces and Bangladesh was created. The policies and schemes given to the country will be remembered by people for ages,” he said.

Stressing that Indira worked to uplift the poor, Dotasra took a jibe at PM Modi and claimed that the current PM made the poor poorer and made the industrialists richer.
