SMS Residents strike work, protest suspension of docs
Jaipur: Resident doctors are outraged by the actions taken at Kanwatia Hospital regarding a woman’s open delivery.
However, the medical college administration assigned faculty duty under a different arrangement. After the suspension of three resident doctors, JARD has now opened a front and calling the suspension a onesided action.
A complete work boycott was declared in GBM which continued till late night. Instructions are issued to keep the system in order from OPD to IPD. Residents have gone on strike in other hospitals including Janana , Gangauri , Kanwatia, Mahila Hospital related to SMS Medical College. Due to which the medical system in the hospitals has completely derailed . There are long queues of patients in the SMS hospital since the morning.
A few days ago, after a woman delivered a baby outside the Kanwatia Hospital, the administration suspended three resident doctors. Government considered Resident Doctors Dr. Kusum Saini, Dr. Neha Rajawat, and Dr. Manoj guilty in this incident and issued orders for their suspension. In protest against this, the doctors have gone on strike today.
