Sheel Dhabhai’s tenure extended till March

Sheel Dhabhai will remain the acting Mayor of JMC Greater till March 25, Hearing of Dr Somya Case in Supreme Court today

Jaipur: Government has again extended the tenure of Sheel Dhabhai, the acting mayor of Jaipur Municipal Corporation Greater, by another 60 days. This is fourth time that Dhabhai’s tenure has been extended. Her term was suppose to end today.

The matter going on in the Supreme Court in the case of suspended mayor Soumya Gurjar will also be heard today.

In the case of indecency with Commissioner Yagyamitra Singh Dev in Jaipur Municipal Corporation Greater, the state government had suspended Gurjar from the post of mayor on June 6 last year and made Dhabhai the acting mayor.

Dhabhai will remain the acting Mayor of JMC Greater till March 25, Hearing of Dr Somya Case in SC today. The Supreme Court had refused to put a stay on the matter and gave the next date of hearing on February 1.
