Mother’s Day 2024: Bekaboo 3 actress Nikkita Ghag talks about learning kindness for animals from her mother, says, “The thought, love and kindness towards animals and saving animals has been cultivated by her”

Nikkita Ghag, renowned for her talent on screen, has made her mark in popular series like "Bekaboo 3" and "Fuh Se Fantasy." Not only has she graced the screen, but she has also produced "Anandi" on Disney Plus Hotstar, the talented actress known for her versatile performances, is recently seen in  "Pyarr ka Bazaar Karobaar” which premiered on the digital platform Alt Balaji, this web series marks another milestone in Nikkita Ghag's career as she takes on the lead role. As Mother’s Day is around the corner, this day holds profound significance for Nikkita as she honours her greatest inspiration: her single mother and a cancer survivor. Nikkita shares her favourite memories with her mother and about the special gift she will be giving to her mom. 

Talking about how she is planning to celebrate this Mother's Day and what gift she will give her mom, Nikkita says, “I have been working in different cities lately but I have made sure that I will spend this Mother’s Day with my mom and make this day memorable. I have planned a few things for her and I will take her out. The most special gift which I am going to give her is a star registered in her name. She was very close to her grandmother and her name was Veeta my mom’s name is Vaishali and my name is Nikkita so the combination of this is Veeta. I got the star registered in the name of Veeta with the certificate and everything. This is a very special and unique gift, there will always be a star named after her.”

As Nikita’s mom is a cancer survivor, she shares what she has learned looking at her mother during the whole process when she was fighting for cancer, she says, “As my mom is a cancer survivor, I have learned from her that you live only once. Live your life to the fullest and explore everything. As life is an adventure, you will have to embrace and explore it and life is too short for hatred so don’t keep any personal grudges for anyone.”

Sharing about that one memory with her mom from childhood that she would never forget, says, “Since I was a kid, my mother always used to take me to different animal shelters and that’s when I cultivated love and empathy towards animals. This is the reason I started working at the age of 13 for animals. The thought, love and kindness towards animals and saving animals has been cultivated by her.” She concludes by adding about that one quality of her Mom that she wants to have, says, “The qualities which she has imbibed in me which I will carry with me to my grave is to be independent and never dependent on any man. She taught me to be strong and have self-respect.”
