Post Secretariat, more depts to begin e-filing
Jaipur: Terming it as a step towards good governance, the Gehlot Government in Rajasthan has begun efiling in the desert State. According to Chief Secretary Usha Sharma, new electronic filing system has been implemented in the State Secretariat. Other departments will also follow the process from January 15. The step will not only smoothen the official working, it will also reduce people’s burden in visiting offices just for the sake of moving files. As a first step, all the existing government files will be scanned and converted to e-files. After this, the files will move virtually with comments by the officials concerned. The filles will complete their required journey in the virtual world, after which, necessary instructions will be given to the officials for the ground action.
