"They want to turn Jharkhand into den of naxals": CM Yogi attacks Congress, RJD, JMM
Dhanbad: Amid the ongoing assembly elections in Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said that the ruling parties in the state including Congress, Rashtriya Janata Party (RJD) and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) were looting and misleading people. He alleged that they were promoting leftists to turn Jharkhand into a den of Naxals.
"Jharkhand witnessed the first phase of voting for the Assembly election and the trends tell us that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will form the government with absolute majority. Jharkhand has decided to oust Congress, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) from power. When Jharkhand was being developed, I was an MP from Gorakhpur. They (Congress and RJD) were opposing Jharkhand and now they along with JMM are trying to mislead the people," said Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath while addressing a gathering in Dhanbad.
"On one hand, they are looting Jharkhand. On the other hand, this (corrupt) government is trying to promote leftists to turn Jharkhand into a den of Naxals. I have come to appeal to you all to not let them flourish," Yogi said.
Chief Minister Adityanath further said that today's India doesn't believe in provoking (others) but would not spare those who provoke. He said that there were no riots or curfews in Uttar Pradesh after the BJP-led government came to power.
"This is new India. There is an environment of safety in the nation. Whether it is Congress, RJD or JMM, all of them are here to loot you. They are letting Bangladeshis and Rohingyas in Jharkhand and causing land and love jihad. We have to stop this infiltration. You might have seen what happened in Uttar Pradesh before our government was formed in 2017. After the double-engine government was formed, there are no more riots or curfews in Uttar Pradesh," CM Adityanath said while addressing the gathering in the Nirsa assembly constituency.
Meanwhile, Karnataka Rural Development Minister Priyank Kharge on Wednesday came down heavily on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister over the latter's remarks against Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge who accused the senior leader of "vote bank politics." He said that the UP CM should try to win elections on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's achievements instead of trying to "sow seeds of hatred" for political gains.
"Try winning the elections on PM Narendra Modi's 'achievements' instead of trying to sow seeds of hatred in the society for political gains," the Congress leader said on X.
