Much awaited JLF 2022 kicks off in Pink City

Peppered as the ‘greatest literary show on Earth’, the Jaipur Literature Festival 2022 began on-ground after 5 days of online sessions with magnificent authors like Manu S.  Pillai, Elif Shafak, and more.

The astutely curated sessions flagged off on Thursday with an inaugural ceremony addressed by Namita Gokhale, Sanjoy K Roy, and William Dalrymple.

This year, the diversified sessions were infused with enthralling mythologies, LGBTQIA+ disparity issues, war, poetry, and more featuring eminent authors, speakers, and poets.

During today's festival, a session featured author Meghna Pant where she discussed her new book 'Boys Don't Cry'. In conversation with author and psychotherapist Lucy Beresford, she emphasized the ways to get out of abusive relationships and find your own path to self-love.
"Please fight for love you deserve, especially self-love. Stand up for yourself!," said Meghna.

At another session, 'Main Ek Jeevit Bhasha Hoon',  Rajasthani poet Chandra Prakash Deval shed light on rich oral, linguistic, and literary nuances of various Rajasthani dialects.
"Pronunciations vary but the soul of the language remains same," quoted Deval.

The festival set its sun with a warm and enchanting poetry streaming, featuring Anita Agnihotri, Akhil Katyal, Anshu Harsh, and Rakshanda Jalil.
