Kirodi, Kanakmal may find place in Modi cabinet
Jaipur: Two leaders from Rajasthan are expected to find place in PM Modi’s cabinet. The names of Dr Kirodi Lal Meena and Kanakmal Katara are doing rounds for the cabinet berth.
Popularity of Rajya Sabha MP Kirodi Lal Meena after several protests can become the basis for his inclusion in the Cabinet. But if Meena does not get a place, he may get some other big role. PM Modi is coming to Meena’s area Dausa on February 12 and the PM may give some indication from his expression there. Anyway in view of the 2023 elections, a tribal leader’s stature is likely to increase.
Ahead of crucial assembly elections in 2023, the buzz of a Union Cabinet reshuffle has gained ground in recent days.
Assembly elections are scheduled in a total of nine states in 2023, including in Rajasthan, Karnataka, and Chhattisgarh.
