JLF2023: My Book My Beliefs with Sudha Murty
Jaipur: Sudha Murty during her conversation with Mandira Nair on the second day of JLF 2023, talked vividly of her childhood, family, and writing.
Sudha who started writing at the army age of 14, only started writing in English at the age of 15. When asked about it, she said, " I am very much connected to my culture and mother tounge. But, just like you can ride to different vehicle, you can also write in two languages and I learnt that at 52."
Sudha said that there is so much can learn their own children. And it's very important to keep and open dialogue with them.
"There is so much learn from children and we adults are slow to understand that. I always have so much to learn from Akshata and I treat her just like my friend"
When talking about her early career days, Sudha said, "I was very rebellious and wanted to persue applied sciences and I did. For me knowledge has no gender"
When talking about Rishi Sunak on becoming a Prime Minister of United Kingdom, Sudha plainly said, "I am happy for him, but that's that.
We often talk but never talk about work. He is serving his country and I am serving mine."
