Gehlot: Ensure uninterrupted electricity and proper security for a Happy Diwali

Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday stressed on uninterrupted electricity and proper security arrangements for the people have safe and happy Diwali. “After the last two years of Corona, this time this festival should be full of gaiety and happiness for the people of the state. So state govt will celebrate the festival in collaboration with the general public. Decorations and lights and special events will be organized all over the state,” Gehlot said on Wednesday which chairing a review meeting in the CMO regarding the preparations for organizing Diwali. He said that anti-social elements should not carry out any untoward incident in state.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday gave necessary instructions to the officers of all departments regarding the preparations for Diwali. “Lighting, cleanliness arrangements at Govt buildings, tourist places, religious places and repair of roads should be ensured before Diwali,” Gehlot said. Various instructions were given to the officials regarding uninterrupted supply of electricity and availability of emergency services and vehicles. The CM also directed strict action against food adulterators under the ‘Shuddh Ke Liye Yuddh’ campaign. Diwali for Rajasthan has great significance. Therefore, the tourism department and district administration should organise the programmes and cultural performances by local artists at various places,” he said.
