‘Antyodaya-20’ for street vendors begins

Jaipur: The Jaipur Municipal Corporation (Greater) on Friday began ‘Antyodaya–20’ for street vendors on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti. The program was held in Sanganer Stadium wherein Greater Mayor Dr Somya and councillors of the civic body were also present.

JMCG Mayor Dr Somya informed that in place of G-20, Antyodaya-20 is being organized, in which 5,000 street vendors will be distributed ID cards and loans will be given to them by banks for employment. On this occasion, the mayor administered the oath of cleanliness to the people in the programme.

The mayor said that there is no caste and creed here and everyone is respected here. She also emphasized the need to follow path of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar’s life. Dy Mayor Puneet Karnawat was also present at the programme.
