Salman Khan seeks gun license amid increasing death threats

Mumbai (Maharashtra): After assassinating Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, the Bishnoi gang led by gangster Lawrence Bishnoi revealed that Salman Khan too is on their target list. Many developments were noticed after that when gang members were caught by the police, a letter threatening Salman Khan and his father was found and the security of the actor was increased. Now, according to ANI, an unnamed police official reported that Salman Khan is currently seeking the permission of the Mumbai police to hold a gun license.

The actor visited the Commissioner of Mumbai Police HQ at CST to meet commissioner Vivek Phansalkar and Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Vishwas Nangre Patil for the same on July 22. The actor submitted a handwritten letter where he mentioned that he wants to seek extra protection for himself and his family amid the death threats.

The death threats began after Lawrence Bishnoi in his questioning agreed that he has Salman Khan on his hit list as well after his Black Buck poaching case. A threat letter was also given to Salim Khan which stated that they will do to him and Salman Khan what they did to Sidhu Moosewala.

ANI tweeted a development regarding the Friday meeting on their official Twitter channel which read, “Actor Salman Khan applied for a weapon license for self-protection at the Mumbai CP office after he recently received a threat letter: Mumbai Police”.
