MAJOR ADMN OVERHAUL AS GOVT ENCOURAGES ‘YOUNG GUNS’, SHUFFLES LONG STANDING BABUS

Jaipur: In an interesting move, young IAS officers have been given a chance, in the shuffle, to showcase their potential.

IAS Rajan Vishal, who had been serving as Special Secretary to CM Ashok Gehlot has been appointed new Jaipur Collector.

Notably, his silent performance in the CMO has earned him this position after CM Gehlot observed his dedication to this effect.

Vishal’s performance in CMO has been appreciated by everyone as he believes in being low profile while ensuring delivery of result.

Known as an honest and hardworking officer, he stays away from the media and takes keen interest in arts, and books.

Meanwhile, outgoing Collector - Antar Singh Nehra - has been appointed as Labour Commissioner.

Another important transfer has been of IAS Ashutosh AT Pednekar who has been given an important responsibility.

During the second wave of Corona, Pednekar, serving then as Secretary- Industries, was given the hard task of oxygen management and whether it was haggling with the centre or transportation of oxygen to the states, ‘low profile’ Pednekar had managed the entire operations in a smart way while also understanding the minute details of the Medical department.

But no one knows why Pednekar, who was instrumental in carrying out the planning and detailing of Investor Summit, was shuffled right before the summit and T. Ravikant was given his command.

Another important development has been the ‘strengthening’ of IAS Archana Singh, who has till now been serving as Commissioner, Industries and has now been given the additional responsibility of MD of DMIC and RIICO. \

Interestingly, IAS couples have been transferred together through the list. For example IAS Rajan Vishal and Archna Singh have been transferred through the same list.

Similar is the situation with IAS Indrajit Singh and his IAS wife Neha Giri while Rukmani Riyar-Siddharth Sihag and Ashish Modi and Bharti Dixit have also been transferred through the list.

Interestingly, Modi and Dixit both have been appointed as Collectors of Bhilwara and Jhalawar respectively.

Earlier the husband was serving as Jaisalmer Collector and the wife was in a somewhat cold posting in Jaipur but now both will serving as Collectors.

It has been learnt that due to personal issued, Bharti wanted to serve in a district close to Jaipur but she has been given a far flung district.

Similarly, Inderjeet Singh has been removed from Jodhpur Collector and his wife Neha Giri has also been transferred to Jaipur where Indrajeet will be BIP Commissioner while Neha will serve as CMD, Hathkargha Vikas Nigam.

Indrajeet served as Jodhpur Collector for 1, 1/2 and a half years and for seven years and seven months as Collector of various districts.

IAS Ujjwal Rathore has returned to the Jaipur Development Authority as its new Secretary.

His tenure as Kota Collector has been remarkable and therefore has been brought to Jaipur where he had earlier served as Additional Commissioner.

Excise Commissioner Jogaram has also been transferred and has been appointed as LSG Secretary, a post that for a long time was held by Bhawani Singh Detha, who has now been transferred as Higher Education department.

In what could be termed as an act of fate, an IAS has been appointed as Collector of a district from whose assembly constituency, the IAS’s grandfather won and reached the assembly.

IAS Namit Mehta has been appointed Pali Collector from where his grandfather - Manak Mal Mehta - won and became a legislator.

Namit’s tenure in Bikaner has been remarkable as he worked on various schemes and also made the district ‘top performer’ in Covid. In fact, PM Modi had appreciated Namit’s hard work.

In a major shuffle in UDH and LSG departments, IAS Hridesh Kumar has been appointed as new Director of DLB, in place of IAS Deepak Nandi while Jogaram is new LSG Secretary in place of Bhawani Singh Detha.

Collectors of all divisional HQs have also been changed as Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Bikaner, Bharatpur, Ajmer, & Udaipur will have new Collectors, It is probably for the first time that the Collectors of all major districts were changed simultaneously.
