Kangana Ranaut’s maiden production ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’ to become an OTT release

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Kangana Ranaut is a very talented actor with an extensive career consisting of a variety of roles. Right from the very meek and shy Rani from Queen to the bold and brave warrior queen in Manikarnika, Kangana can play any character thrown towards her. Now, the actress is diving into the world of production with her company, Manikarnika Films. The actress had a while ago revealed her maiden film, ‘TIku Weds Sheru’ starring Avneet Kaur and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

As the shooting schedule of the film is wrapped up, the actress gave further details about the film, stating that it will be an OTT release. At the grand celebration of Amazon Prime’s fifth anniversary on April 28, Kangana revealed that she will release her film on Prime Video.

Talking about the film, Kangana said, “Tiku Weds Sheru is a COVID baby. When this movie was conceptualized, I was suffering from COVID, too. But the team from Amazon Prime Video made the making of this film an absolute breeze. This is a momentous occasion because, back in 2008, on April 28, I made my debut with Gangster and 14 years later, I am making my debut as a producer. It feels great to have had this journey.”

She posted a series of pictures on Instagram with a caption revealing how she is starting her journey as a producer on the 16^th anniversary (sic) of her career as an actor. “Sixteen years ago on this day 28^th April 2006 Gangster relased and I started my journey as an actor…today on 28^th April 2022 while celebrating @primevideoin fifth anniversary we launched @manikarnikafilms first production Tiku Weds Sheru…and today I officially start my journey as a producer…many thanks to @primevideoin for this opportunity… ❤️”

She further added in the caption that she missed Avneet Kaur and Nawazuddin Siddiqui during the announcement.

Kangana Ranaut made her debut with Anurag Kashyap’s gangster which was released 16 years ago on April 28, 2006. Currently, Kangana is gearing up for her suspense action thriller Dhaakad.
