FACE OFF BETWEEN RAJ BHAWAN & GEHLOT GOVT OVER PROPOSED BILL

On Nov 24, 2020, the govt had sent CPC amendment bill, it seems that officers have not given right facts to Governor:

DotasraJaipur: The Raj Bhawan and the Congress government have come face to face on the Civil Procedure Code (Rajasthan Amendment) Bill 2020 passed by the state government to stop the auction of agricultural lands up to 5 acres.

Issue created The issue was created when a delegation of Bhartiya Kisan Union led by its state president Rajaram Meel handed over a memorandum at Raj Bhawan demanding to clear a bill to amend Rajasthan Agricultural Credit Operation (Removal of Difficulties) Act to stop auction of land up to 5 acres and its clearance is pending with the Governor.

Raj Bhawan clarifies Soon after the delegation left, a clarification was issued by Raj Bhawan saying that no such bill (regarding the RODA act) is pending for clearance at Raj Bhawan.

GS Dotasra reacts Reacting to it, PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasra said that the state government had amended the proviso to section 60 (1) (b) of the Code of Civil Procedure (CPC) on November 2, 2020, which would have banned attachment and auction on taking KCC loan on 5 acres of land and the bill is still pending in Raj Bhawan.

Dotasra said that on November 24, 2020, the government had sent the CPC amendment bill. He said that it seems that officers have not given the right facts to the Governor.

He said that the bill was not returned to the state government with any objection and it is pending at the level of the government.

On the party’s digital membership campaign, Dotasra said the party is engaged in the membership drive and the Digital worker app link will be given soon.

Dotasra attacks BJP Attacking the Bharatiya Janata Party, PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasra said that the party is not able to play the role of opposition in the state and could not create any major movement against the Congress government in 3 years.

The Congress leader also accused the central government of being anti-farmer. He also said that Congress organization is taking the schemes of the state government to the villages.
