Cong may change mins, but will it save its house?

New Delhi: As part of the exercise to save the government in Jharkhand, it is being said that the Congress party is going to change its ministers. There is talk of removing three out of four Congress ministers and according to informed sources, Rameshwar Oraon, Banna Gupta and Badal Patralekh can be removed. The fourth minister is Alamgir Alam, who will not be removed, but the investigation of central agencies is going on against him and it is possible that such a situation may arise that he has to be removed. However, till now he has remained loyal to the party. The Congress feels that the remaining three ministers had approached the BJP. But the question is, will the crisis be averted by removing them? Will it not clear the way for them to openly go with the BJP? The bigger question is, who will the Congress appoint as a minister in their place?

According to Congress sources, there is talk of making party’s national secretary Deepika Pandey Singh and Kumar Jaimangal as ministers. Kumar Jaimangal alias Anoop Singh has filed a case against the three party MLAs that they have asked Anoop to meet the Chief Minister of Assam and asked him to leave the party. Despite this, Anoop’s credibility is questionable. It is being said that he had met BJP leaders. He had also given a statement on the issue of trampling of a female inspector by cow smugglers, holding the line of Hindutva. It is also being said about Deepika Pandey Singh that in the presidential election, she along with the women MLAs of Congress voted for the NDA candidate. However, this move can be justified in the name of tribal and woman candidate. Still, making someone a minister will not guarantee that he or she will not leave the party. Notably, if there is a proposal to make a minister from the other side also, then there will be no moral hurdle in front of anyone.
