Chief secy raps officials for Jaipur’s ‘poor’ sanitation
Jaipur: During a review meeting of the UDH and LSG departments, Chief Secretary Usha Sharma expressed displeasure over Jaipur’s sanitation.
“The condition of the city is serious in terms of cleanliness. There are heaps of dirt and garbage everywhere in the city.
Tourists also come to the city of Jaipur, what impression would they take back?” Sharma asked. When JMC Heritage Commissioner Awadhesh Meena and JMC Greater Commissioner Yagya Mitra Singh Deo tried to pin the blame on BVG company, the CS took them to task.
She also expressed dissatisfaction over the pace of work in the PM’s Housing Scheme and instructed the Project Director (Housing) of Rudcico to improve it at the earliest.
She also appeared dissatisfied with the progress report of the Indira Gandhi Urban Credit Card scheme. Meanwhile, RHB and JDA reviews could not be done as Sharma got a call from CMR and left the meeting. Their review meetings will be held today
