Army, Forest officials launch hunt for leopard that killed 3 in Udaipur

Gogunda (Udaipur): The search for a panther that attempted to attack three women in Udaipur’s Gogunda has intensified, with the Army now involved in the operation. The incident occurred in Badundia village, where the panther approached the women but fled after encountering them in a group.

Fear has gripped the village, with the panther’s movements being reported near the surrounding hills. A rescue team from the forest department, joined by local villagers, has been dispatched to the area.

Gogunda Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Dr. Naresh Soni has urged residents to avoid venturing alone into the forest. Two Army units from Udaipur have joined the search, deploying drone cameras for aerial surveillance. Over 80 personnel, including forest department officials, are involved, with eight teams conducting ground patrols.
