Another IAS officer from the Uttar Pradesh bureaucracy resigns

Lucknow: Yet another IAS officer from the Uttar Pradesh bureaucracy has sent his resignation to ACS Appointment Dr Devesh Chaturvedi. The IAS - Gurrala Srinivasulu - is a 2005 batch IAS officer, and is posted as Special Secretary in the Revenue Department. In fact he was transferred from Finance department to the revenue department recently. Interestingly, he is the fifth IAS officer to seek Voluntary Retirement (VRS) and resign within 2 months. Notably, Srinivasulu still has eight years of service left i.e. till July 2030, however, he has cited health problems as the reason for his resignation. Just a few days ago, IAS Vidya Bhushan, a 2008 batch IAS and Managing Director of Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam, had applied for resignation.
