Vegetable prices soar as stocks deplete in rain

Jaipur: Among the common people’s concerns, the rising prices of vegetables are an important issue where they have to budget for the entire month, and suddenly rising prices of vegetables disrupt their budget. The tasks that were manageable within a certain budget now require more money. The prices have increased in the market due to the impact of rainfall. Meanwhile, potatoes are priced at Rs 40, onions at Rs 60 and tomatoes at Rs 100 per kilogram. At many places, garlic prices have soared up to Rs 300.
