Cinema for Social Change: ‘Aayushmati Geeta Matric Pass’ Team Engages with Uttar Pradesh MSME Minister Rakesh Sachan

Actress Kashika Kapoor, accompanied by Director Prradip Khairwar recently met with Rakesh Sachan, Uttar Pradesh's Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME), to discuss their upcoming film, Ayushmati Geeta Matric Pass at his residence in Lucknow. The meeting emphasized the film's focus on women's education and empowerment, with a storyline designed to inspire social change.

Aayushmati Geeta Matric Pass tells the story of a teenage girl in rural India, raised by a progressive father who is passionately committed to education. Set in a village 40 kilometers from Banaras, the film portrays the girl’s journey as she navigates societal pressures in a community where women's education is still not widely accepted. Amidst these challenges, her father takes a courageous stand, determined to educate his daughter beyond high school, nurturing her ambition despite frequent social backlash.

Extensively shot in Banaras, the film sheds light on the barriers faced by girls in rural communities in accessing education. It serves as a tribute to the advocates of equal opportunities, demonstrating how education can be a powerful vehicle for empowerment and change.
Commenting on the film's vision, Director Prradip Khairwar stated, "Meeting with Minister Rakesh Sachan was a significant step for us, as the themes of Ayushmati Geeta Matric Pass align closely with the government’s initiatives to support and empower women, particularly in rural areas.
