Khatu-Salasar rail line proposed

Sikar: In a good news for lakhs of devotees who visit the world famous Khatu Dham, the Ministry of Railways has decided to lay a new railway line from Khatushyamji via Salasar Balaji to Sujangarh.

The Railway Board has started a survey regarding this and it will be included in the upcoming budget. After the laying of the railway line, religious tourism will get a boost at both these places and benefit the economy. This new rail route will benefit the religious tourism of the Shekhawati area. Lakhs of tourists and devotees visit Khatushyam Ji, Salasar and Jeenmata throughout the year.

Captain Shashi Kiran, CPRO, North Western Railway said that a survey is underway and its report will be sent to the board so that further progress could be made on the plan.
