Troubled by blackmailers, Mahant fakes own abduction

Jalore: The abduction of Valera mahant Paras Bharti was nothing but a concocted story cooked by him with an intention to defame some people who were blackmailing him. He smashed the windows of his vehicle along with his friends and went to a place where he stayed for 3 days before going to the excise police station in Jalore to tell the fake story of his kidnap in order to mislead the police. He claimed that the abductors released him near the excise police station.

During this period, police kept on searching for the kidnappers. SP Harshvardhan Agrawala said that mahant was being blackmailed by five persons on the basis of a video. The accused were demanding money from him.
