Kalraj Mishra calls for use of AI, digital tech in agriculture field
Bikaner: Governor Kalraj Mishra said on Tuesday that for the prosperity of Indian agriculture and farmers, universities should do research and innovation work on subjects like marketing, storage, food processing along with agricultural management. Governor Mishra was addressing the twentieth convocation of Swami Keshavanand Rajasthan Agricultural University on Tuesday.
He said that in the age of information and communication technology, universities should use artificial intelligence in agricultural education, research and extension to inform farmers about agricultural techniques and innovations. In view of the geographical disparity and uncontrolled climate of Rajasthan, he also emphasized the use of digital technology for farmers in the direction of drought management. He also expressed the need to increase practical efforts of scientific research in the discovery of organic products and production growth under agricultural education.
