ACB arrests 2 PHED engineers in Bundi
Bundi: In major action against corrupt officials, Kota team of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday caught a Junior Engineer of Public Health and Engineering department (PHED) redhanded while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 11,500 from contractor for clearing his bills.
According to ACB sources, complainant Mohd Shahid Hussain’s firm had taken a contract for road repairing and laying a pipeline in city for Rs 4.8 lakh. Accused Junior Engineer Pawan Rathore demanded Rs 30,000 from him. Another engineer Rajendra also asked him to pay 2% of the amount as commission to sign the bills.
