VERSATILE RANJHA VIKRAM SINGH

Acting is an art which requires diligence and dedication. Ranjha Vikram Singh is one such acclaimed actor who essayed various roles and has always been applauded for his excellence.

We know you as a versatile actor. Tell us more about you.
I started in 2005 with the film Mumbai Godfather and also worked with Mahima Chaudhry in a Hindi film. I also essayed the lead role in a Punjabi film. My film 25 Kille bagged multiple awards. I was nominated for the Filmfare Award. I played the role of a soldier in the critically acclaimed film Fauji Calling with Sharman Joshi. I have also acted in many movies in the South industry. Ziddi Jatt is another movie of mine which is slated to release in October.

What are the challenges that you faced in the industry?
I am a foodie hence major physical transformations suitable for various roles become a challenging task for me. I love butter chicken but given to strict diet charts I sacrifice my cravings for it. A proper timetable which has everything fixed from food to sleep gets a bit tough for me.

What inspired you to become an actor?
Nobody can inspire me the way I can do that for myself. I always aim to perform better than the previous day. My fans recognise me as Rajjo Fauji and I am admired by the BSF. This is the love and respect that I have earned for myself.|

Any message for upcoming producers and audience.
The producers in the Hindi film industry should work together like those in the South film industry. There is a lot of lobbying in Bollywood which reduces the efficiency of the industry. Nepotism is also a big-time problem in the industry.
