Painting workshop at State Lalit Kala Akademi

A three-day painting workshop is being organised at the State Lalit Kala Academy. The first day of the workshop witnessed Sitaram Kashyap, President of the Lalit Kala Academy distributing painting kits.

The workshop that is being organised from June 15 to June 17, will witness paintings based on ‘Laxmibai Ki Shauryagatha’ on a 30 by 36 canvas. They will be painted using acrylic colours.

The participating artists included Anil Mishra from Mau, Priyanka Devi from Chitrakoot, Anil Kumar Sadhu from Jaunpur, Vasant Lal from Pratapgarh, Sarvesh Patel from Prayagraj, Suresh Saurabh and Ashish Rai from Varanasi, Prabhakar Rai from Jagdeeshpur, Shani Kesri, Puja Yadav, Siddharth Dev, Brajesh Kumar Verma and Mainaj Bano from Lucknow.

Secretary of the Academy, Anand Kumar informed that the paintings will be displayed by the Culture department in Jhansi on the occasion of balidaan diwas (day of martyrdom) of Maharani Laxmi Bai.
