Karan turns 50 GLAMOROUSLY

Karan Johar has achieved a milestone and this time it is not about his career. He turned 50 on May 25 and celebrated the incredible feat with his beloved friends and family. The theme of the evening was black and bling and this was mentioned in the invitations that Karan sent out to his friends. The party took place at Yash Raj studios, a very unusual yet milestone location of an incredible life milestone.

Several dignitaries graced the event wearing their shimmery and glamorous designer dresses. Karan himself was seen proudly donning a green sequin coat suit. The entirety of Bollywood came in to wish the filmmaker on his birthday. However, Karan’s closest pals, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan gave the party a miss as they are out of the country for their respective work.

Many B-Town couples attended the soiree including Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, Mira Rajput and Shahid Kapoor, Ayush Sharma and Arpita Khan, Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar and Rakul Preet Singh and Jacky Bhagnani. Ayushmann Khurrana and Tahira Kashyap, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan, Bhushan Kumar and Divya Khosla Kumar, Genelia D’souza and Riteish Deshmukh, Saba Azad and Hrithik Roshan, Sussane Khan and Arslan Goni and Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi attended the event hand in hand. Kabir Khan and Mini Thakur posed with music composer Pritam as they entered K the party. Ranbir Kapoor attended the event sans his wife but was accompanied by his mother Neetu Kapoor. Many industry biggies marked their presence including Tabu, Madhuri DixitNene, Raveena Tandon, Kajol, Juhi Chawla, Twinkle Khanna, Sonali Bendre and Rani Mukherjee whom Karan personally escorted inside. Preity Zinta attended the party with her husband Gene Goodenough. South heartthrobs Rashmika Mandana and Vijay Deverakonda made their first Bollywood party appearance and they both looked as dashing as ever. Aamir Khan brought in his ex-wife Kiran Rao as his plus one. Aryan Khan filled in for his father as he came in alongside Gauri Khan. Salman Khan and Ranveer Singh made a stag entrance at the party. Meanwhile, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan made their appearance together. Shanaya Kapoor who will soon make her debut through Dharma Productions attended with her two co-stars Gurfateh Pirzada and Lakshya. Kiara Advani and Varun Dhawan too made an appearance. Karan’s inner circle of Malaika Arora, Shweta Bachchan, Manish Malhotra and Dharma CEO Apoorv Mehta were first people to arrive.
