JOURNEY OF CONFIDENCE & FORTITUDE!

A strong woman is a woman determined to do something others are determined not be done.’ Disha Nareda, a Jaipurbased model proved that she is the superwoman of her times. When asked about her journey the diva said, “It all started in December 2020 when I came into the field of modelling and pageantry, though I weighed 86 kgs but a confident girl. It was when I actually started giving auditions, I was told to lose weight, and was even laughed off at the stage for the way I looked, the incidence confidence shattered the confidence of that young 19-year-old into many pieces and she started hating my body.”
She further said, “Fast forward to the end of 2021, one thing I realised was that confidence comes from within and you will shine bright like a diamond the day you accept yourself and love yourself for who you are. I started working patiently towards my dreams, by staying true to myself and I lost weight the people who laughed at me are now working with me, and finally, I got my dream opportunity as Miss cosmos queen, an all-inclusive agent. Out of 90 semi-finalists, I was selected in the top 24. Learning from the other 23 girls and mentors has been the best part of the pageant. So, it doesn’t matter how you look, as long as you are confident in yourself nothing else matters. It has been a journey of hardships trying to accept myself as I’m and Miss cosmos queen helped me in being able to cherish my own true self.
As I go back home with a heavy heart, I’m filled with pride and I can hear my younger self thanking me for not giving up when things got hard.

I believe it’s just the beginning, there’s a long way to go. If a shy, introverted, chubby kid can represent herself on a national platform so g racefully, then I believe anyone and everyone can achieve what they want in life by putting the right amount of work in.
