CHASING THE PASSION

As a child, Nikhita had a flair for the creative, which led to many accolades in creative competitions and ultimately transformed into a serious professional choice. In an exclusive interview with City First, we bring to you excerpts from the chat. When asked how important are communication skills for her and what she thinks is more important, educational qualifications or good communication and personality, the passionate woman said, “Having an educational degree is as good as knowing cooking a meal but when it comes to being at the hospitality, the first thing which is required is how well you interact and interpret the knowledge you may have about your product or the customer understanding. So I would rate communication skills as on higher level in comparison with holding an educational degree.” On asking, how you possess your opinion, how you have an approach towards multiple situations which shows your patience, empathy, your confidence, the beauty with brains replied, “As one says that rough sea makes a good sailor, hence we learn more with experience that enables them to adapt a personality which is the most important part of this industry.” Taking about her idol, Nikhita said, “I may sound very profound here but I always looked up to my mother, my elder sister and my father, for they taught me to stay strong and their ‘never give up’ attitude. Yes, I would also give my teachers huge respect for making me who I am today, and besides that, I simply adore Sushmita Sen as my childhood inspiration.” When asked what message she would give to young people wishing to enter the hospitality industry, Sethi said, “You can’t pour from an empty mug, so people joining this field must be aware of themselves and live life to the fullest.
